VULCANS GET READY FOR BANK HOLIDAY SEASIDE TOURNAMENTS TRIPS.

Once again Vulcans are taking the U8's, 9's, 11's, 12's & 14's away for a 4 day Bank Holiday weekend extravaganza. The boy's have been entered into the Wales International Cup Tournament at Presthaven Golden Sands in Prestatyn, North Wales. Then on Bank Holiday Monday the U8's make a quick dash straight from Prestatyn down the M56 to Curzon Ashton's Stadium to play in the Reddish & District Cup Final... Oh' what a life it is for a young Vulcan ! Meanwhile the U10's Airforce 1 & 2 make the 4 day trip to Mablethorpe to compete in the Lincolnshire Challenge Trophy.

WHAT A WEEK THAT WAS ! BOMBERS REACH COUNTY CUP FINAL AS PHOENIX STAY TOP WITH 3 TO GO !

Sun6th April: What a week its been for Vulcans. The U8's T&J's thumped Stockport Jnr Blues to stay top, U10's Airforce 1 & 2, scored 9 to maintain their challenge, U11's Rockets became league champions with 4 games to spare, whilst U11's Thunderbirds rattled in double figues against Hazel Grove. The U12's Bombers reached the final of the M/c County Cup with a 6-1 victory against Chadderton Jnrs, after winning the league in mid-week and the U13's Hurricaines won the M/c County Cup. Vulcans big boys the U16's Phoenix defeated rivals FC Blue Star 4-2 to stay top of the league with 3 fixtures remaining.

U8's & U13's MAKE IT SIX IN A ROW FOR CUP FINALS AS ROCKETS CRASH IN EXTRA TIME DRAMA !

Saturday 29th March: The Tornados & Jets U8's reached the Reddish & District Cup Final after a comprehensive 6-1 victory against local rivals Vipers JFC. Meanwhile U13's Hurricaines were demolishing Middleton Colts to reach the Final of the M/c County Cup and make it two final appearences for the season. U11's Rockets also the County Cup semi-finals lost 4-3 to Barrhill JFC(Salford) in a dramatic encounter. Vulcans were leading 2-0 & 3-2 but Barrhill managed to secure a win amidst some controversal refereeing decisions. This now makes a total of 6 Vulcans teams in Cup Finals so far this season !

COMETS MAKE IT 4th VULCANS TEAM TO REACH CUP FINALS THIS SEASON !

U12's Comets have become the 4th Vulcans team to reach a cup final so far this season. Our very own Eduardo scored both goals to defeat Droylsden JFC in the Metro Semi-Finals. It wasn't all good news for Vulcans though as U15's Typhoon crashed out in their semi against table topping Hazel Grove United. Confusion reigned in the M/c County Cup semi-finals as U13's Hurricaines opponents Middleton Colts cancelled the match at the last minute in controversial circumstances. The game has now been rearranged at Whitehill School for Saturday 29th March KO 11am. See you there !
