The Reddish Vulcans Soccer Centre was started in 1995 at Peel Moat Leisure Centre, Heaton Moor, Stockport, offering excellent enclosed floodlit astro-turf training facilities. All our coaches constantly remind young players, mums and dads that junior football must be about fair play and fun, whilst being competitive and striving for victory.
Only then can the hard work begin...
We now have in excess of 200 young players registered, regularly attending our training sessions either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday evenings.
The Vulcans' reputation for attractive, attacking football has travelled far and wide in recent years, non more so than following last season's tremendous achievements by all our teams. The Club were League Champions with eight (yes 8) different age groups, double winners on two occasions and Cup winners three times. Alongside this we managed to win no fewer than 16 Tournament Trophies in competitions all over the North West of England.
At present we have players attending academies and schools of excellence at Man City, Man United, Stockport County, Blackburn Rovers, Macclesfield Town and Preston North End.
"The North West Junior Champions League Football Festival"
Supported by Sainsburys and Umbro as main sponsors, has revolutionised soccer competitions over the past four years, now being the premier football tournament for Under 7's to Under 16's. The last few years we have been at a new venue at the Armitage Centre in Fallowfield, Manchester, where we will be hosts to 180 of the top junior football teams from around the country with a staggering 4,000 visitors over the two days.
